Today we are joining our friends over at 2 Brown Dawgs for This ‘N That Thursday’s blog hop!

This is what she has to say about the hop,

“This ‘N That Thursday is for anything you want!  Maybe you want to post about unrelated topics, or each topic isn’t quite long enough to make up a whole post, or you have awards to share, or you have one long post…anything goes!  So grab the button and join the hop!”

This 'N That 3

Thank You 2 Brown Dawgs

Tomorrow I will be going out to my friends to visit with Titan so I hope the weather will cooperate so we can do some training and I can get photos of my handsome boy in action. I can’t wait to see him run in a hunt test, hope he doesn’t drink any stupid water that day…lol

Well conformation training has halted for the next few weeks with Maia, she is in season…yeah! So when the girls are in season I tend not to walk them around town or take them out front to practice anything because they leave their calling card and I don’t want any strange males hanging around. I am happy about that because this is her second cycle, so it looks like she will have normal twice a year cycles; which makes it a little easier for breeding. Her mother only came in once a year, maybe, so it made it hard to plan a breeding. I will probably take her with me tomorrow so we can get a little training in.

I have been using photo bucket to edit my photos and I also use Microsoft for cropping and enhancing color and I have tried Gimp, I would like to find a photo editor with a little more options for editing photos but I don’t which ones are good and user friendly is a must. I haven’t even figured out all my settings on my camera so I know I would never figure out an editor if it is to difficult to use, at least until I get familiar with it. I would like to be able to easily put my copyright watermark on photos. So my questions to everyone,

What photo editor do you use?

What do you like about the one you use?

Do you have any tips you would like to share with me about editing photos?

So that wraps up our Thursday, why don’t you hop on over to 2 Brown Dawgs see what their up to and join the fun!

  1. Oh the joys of a girl in heat. Have fun visiting with Titan. I use corel paintshop. I like it because I can crop photos and blend them into a different picture. It is a little tedious in the beginning but now I figured out that part of it. It does do alot that I haven’t even messed with. It has a ok selection of frames. I’m sure if I would update it I would have more frame options. I end up just copying my name and pasting it on each photo. It does take some time but I don’t know any other way to do it. There is a watermark thingie in the program but when I played around with it it sent me to a website where I had to purchase something in order to use that feature. My stand by picture program is microsoft picture it but I have a very old version and don’t know if that is available anymore. I do up load alot of pictures to photobucket to put on different forums but never used the editing part of it. I use microsoft windows live photo gallery to first upload my photos to and then I do all my cropping there and adjusting the photo. Then I move the pictures into corel and do the frames and copywrite text.

  2. Thanks for participating in TNT. Hopefully you don’t get rained out tomorrow. Good thing you weren’t going today. 🙂

I use Photoshop Lightroom It is kind of pricy, but I got it at Costco so I saved a bit. I use it for my watermark and to crop and I can color correct or put tone on pictures, all kinds of things. I also have some Totally Rad Actions which I used more with my old camera.

  3. I’m helpless at photo editing…I’ve tried to use Gimp for years and it’s totally stumped me…I have been playing with pixlr, pZap and picmonkey…They’re all online editors that let you do some special effects, combine layers, add text and make collages…I do want to start watermarking as soon as I find a simple online program to use

  4. Sadly when your showing and working with females everything comes to a halt when they come in season but we have no control there! I hope you have a great day with Titan and the weather is good. Can’t help with editing, except for cropping or B&W I have an obsession with getting the exact picture I took. My husband disagrees with me but he has his own pictures. Besides I have a MAC so totally different 🙂

  5. Hey Misty, I’ve been using picmonkey, I find it to be super easy. A lot of the things I want to do with my photos (like water marks) are free, of course you can always pay for a subscription for some of the fancier options. What I like best about it, is you don’t need an account. 🙂
