Bitter sweet day for me today, my last puppy went to his forever home with a very nice family. He was really working it, giving them puppy kisses and rolling over so they could give him belly rubs. He will have two nine year olds to play with him and love him.
What a nice way to start the New Year!

I share my life with five Chesapeakes, Riva, Maia, Titan and my newest additions, Zelena and Thalia. My sweet Cheyenne went over the rainbow bridge May 2016.
I like to do Hunt Tests, Conformation shows and a variety of other activities with my dogs.
I am a small hobby breeder and have a great love for this breed! I'm active in my national breed club, the American Chesapeake Club (ACC).
Mostly I just love to be with my dogs!!

Oh, I have no idea how you manage to part with them. The #1 reason I am banned from fostering. I would fail. 🙂

Before the babies were born I told myself it won’t be that bad when its time for them to go but then they were born and I held each and every one from the minute they were born until the day they went to their new homes. I did become attached to them all and I wonder every day what their doing but the look on each of their new families faces when they came to take them home was the best feeling and all though it is a bittersweet good bye I feel good that they are going to make their new families very happy.

Wonderful!!!! Looks like a wonderful family who will give the puppy a great home. 🙂 I know how we feel when we send a puppy to a forever home. Happy, yet sad and we always are excited to get updates and pictures to see how they are doing. 🙂

I felt sad that the last one had to leave but after seeing how happy the new family is and how the puppy looked so loved , I told myself, “It was meant to be.” Wishing you and your family love, peace and joy for the New Year ….
