Today we went to Pet Smart for our annual Santa Paws pictures. My friend and I have been doing this for many years and it is kind of an annual family event because she invites people who have bought puppies over the years to attend. We have had as many as eight Chessies sitting with Santa for pictures. Pet Smart is always very helpful and they seem to enjoy having us all there, always oohing and awing over the dogs and this year was no exception especially since I had the puppies there.
As I was getting ready to load everyone up I started to have doubts about going, how was I going to handle two big dogs and two puppies! Much to my surprise the whole day turned out great, everyone was very well behaved. Once there I aired the puppies in hopes we would not have any accidents inside, then I put them in a shopping cart, I put a rug in the bottom so they had something soft to sit on and tied their leashes to the sides so they couldn’t get over the edge. Then Cheyenne and Riva were aired and off we all went into the store, I found that pulling the cart instead of pushing worked better since I only had one free hand. So I had four dogs there and my friend had three and everyone in the store loved seeing all of them, many pats for everyone, questions and a few people actually knew what breed they were. This was the first time the pups had gone shopping and I wasn’t sure how they would react to all the people and other dogs, and there were many, but they were awesome and the socialization they received today was great. Here are a few pictures of our trip, I will post up the actual Santa pictures once I get them scanned.
That is picture perfect for the holidays. I bet Santa was swept off his feet by their cuteness, Wow, they are really grown. Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year to you and your family.

Adorable! Wonderful pictures. Santa doesn’t looks as impressed as he ought to be with all of those Chessies sitting ever so nicely together for the picture. 🙂

I think it must be difficult to look innocent and wise at the same time. I am envious of your babies being able to pull that off. They are the best Santa visitors EVER!
Love & Licks,

PS. My best look is confused and pathetic. Maybe someday…..
