2018 marks my 25th Anniversary of owning Chesapeakes or maybe that’s them owning me! I love their great intelligence and the amazing loyalty they have to their owners.

I participate in Conformation Dog Shows and Hunt Tests. Being a member and one of the Michigan Regional Directors of the American Chesapeake Club (ACC), as well as an officer of the Board serving as Secretary. I also participate and promote the Working Dog Certification program (WD) for Chesapeake’s. For the last nine years I have been one of many volunteers and used my dogs at the Michigan Judging Seminar held by the Michigan Sporting Dog Association (MSDA) providing the opportunity for new judges to have a hands on experience in judging the Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

I am an eternal student…constantly trying to improve my knowledge of many different things but the area I have the most interest in is dogs. I study everything I can on genetics, breeding, structure and anything I can find related to our canine friends.

I thought starting this blog would be a nice way to keep everyone updated on our progress with training, breeding/whelping, education and just every day life with the brown dogs. It will be an exciting adventure!

I have really enjoyed your blog and all the other blogs I have recently started to follow.

I wasn’t sure at first if I would like blogging or even have anything to say that would be of interest to others, again thank you, this award really boosts my confidence in blogging.

  2. Wow.What a great discovery. My son adores dogs. I have a favorite one when I was a kid whom I had a lot of attachement to but he went out one day and never came back. I was heartbroken. But past is past and looking at the your dog’s photos and reading their exciting world makes me want to have one particularly for my son. Thanks for sharing and I’m looking forward to follow your blog as well. stay blessed.

  3. Hello,

I am a writer for the SheKnows Home & Living page, which includes the “Pets” section. Right now I am working on a few spring campaigns and would love to feature your dog in a photo gallery about pet behaviors.

Please let me know if you are interested and if so, will you send me the image without a watermark? I will ensure that your photo is credited as well as your blog.
    Thank you,

  4. I stumbled onto your website by accident as I was looking for stories on our Michigan War Dog Memorial Events as listed on our website http://mwdm.org/ and want to thank you for the marvelous videos you took of Buddy’s interment on April 13, 2013. I know you have a blog…duh that is what I am commenting to…but I would also like to keep your group in the loop so if you could provide me with an email address I would great appreciate it.
