I am so far behind this week, I have been busy busy busy, so much so I have fallen way behind on reading blogs and commenting on my posts. So today I will try to answer some of the great comments left on my posts over the last week. And bear with me as I try to catch up over the next few days.

Hearts are what I noticed when I saw this so I just had to take some photos, I knew I would be able to use it as a blog post

And for those who wondered what kind of plant this is, get ready for this…it is a dried up broccoli plant from last year.

This “N That Thursday

I know I said I would be telling you who my nominees are for the WordPress Family Award but you will just have to come back again to find out. My day was much longer than I had anticipated and this blogger is a tired puppy.

So that’s it for now, I have to get ready for a big dog show this weekend and I sure hope I get some good photos.

So, here is my little acceptance speech:

I am so humbled at receiving this award, thank you so much Dogdaz for honoring us! I am always in awe at the friendships that come about from blogging. For the most part we have never met but through this awesome thing they call cyber space we can all share our lives with each other. I have enjoyed each and every blog I read and do consider you all friends.

Last week on my Park Day ~ Island Lake Recreation Area

“Do they have a designated dog training area to train off lead?

“Do they allow dogs in the cabins?

Well I stopped by the Island Lake park office yesterday morning to see if I could find out if there are any areas to get the dogs off leash…that would be a big NO. They must be on a six foot leash. I then asked if there was any place I could get them in the water to swim, she said “yes there are actually a couple of places” then showed me on the map but then she proceeds to say “but they still have to be on a six foot leash” right about then I bet you can guess what I was thinking but I bit my tongue and just looked at her and said “well that defeats the purpose of swimming” But she did offer a suggestion that I might be able to apply for a special permit and gave me the paper work to fill out if I wanted to try that route. And in answer to Jodi’s question that is also a big negative.

Ever do a title only to look at it later and say “epic fail” well that is how this title was for me. After it was already posted and comments started rolling in I thought to myself it could have been better, something like “Do you think my ears make my head look big” ahhh oh well

Training

Didn’t get out to do training last weekend But as you can see by my Wordless Wednesday Titan sure did, here are a few more photos my friend Michelle sent me…

Life

Well it has been a very long week! Over the last couple months I have been having trouble with my van, idling very rough to the point of stalling when I stop and the transmission has been giving me some grief too. Every time I take it to my mechanic for the stalling problem it doesn’t do the things it does to me and he can’t find a problem…go figure! Then a couple of weeks ago the transmission started to get worse, originally it was just the lower gears that were the problem, shifted very slow, then it wouldn’t shift into over drive. So my mechanic referred me to a trans guy to check it out, guess what…checks out perfect and he can’t find a problem…grrrrrr! Now I can’t complain to much, my van is a “94” with almost 300,000 miles on it. It just keeps me on edge when driving not knowing if I am going to have a problem

House Guests

I’ve really enjoyed having Trail and Bitsy (Bitty Boo as I like to call her) here and Maia is loving someone to play with. They are both a hoot, Trail gets all excited and starts chortling and raising his front feet up, reminds me of a rearing horse. Bitty Boo is such a cuddler but she has her moments when she thinks she is big and bold by mouthing off, I just chuckle to myself. I see a lot of Riva in her! I am sure going to miss them when they have to go home but I do get to see them pretty regularly

Monday Mischief ~ Get Your Nose Out of There

Well believe it or not today’s post is not about Maia…nope this one is about a certain male house guest.

Yep you guessed it, my mischief dog this last week has been Trail!

You see I have had girls in season since Trail and Bitsy arrived, Maia was getting towards the end and right after they arrived Riva came in. Now I know how the boys are when the girls are in season, thankfully he is neutered but that does not stop the hormones, it just means he can’t make babies. I have done my best to keep them separated but twice now I have caught him trying to do something he shouldn’t, he was apprehended right away so nothing happened. But I tell you I will be glad when she is done. In keeping with my G rating for this blog there will be no mischief photos

Instead I will just leave you with this…

Blogging

I just wanted to acknowledge and thank all of my faithful readers and all the new followers I have over the last few weeks. I have recently hit 139 followers, wow that is amazing to me! When I started this blog just over two years ago I figured I might have a few people that would read what I had to say, I never dreamed I would reach so many. I truly appreciate everyone of you and I do my best to visit your blogs and comment but I fail at that more times than I would like; but know I love all of your blogs!! You have made me laugh, given me food for thought and even cry at times, you post faithfully and share your lives. This world of blogging is like a big family and I am proud to be part of it!

Training

Well wouldn’t ya know it rained again on training day, but that didn’t stop us from running dogs. Dave kept it basic for most everyone since the weather didn’t want to cooperate so I’ll just share a few pictures today…and yes I remembered my camera this time but trying to take pictures in the rain and not get the camera wet proved to be quite a feat!

As you can see the dogs could care less about the rain, everyone did very well. Later in the day I had a little one on one time with Titan and gave him lots of loves. He is such a good boy!

Monday Mischief ~ Pillow Explosion

Last Wednesday when my friend Ellen dropped Trail and Bitsy off, I left Cheyenne , Riva and Maia in my room until we had everything discussed and the dogs had a chance to say good bye to Ellen. Then I let my three out so everyone could become reacquainted, well I went in my room and discovered that my body pillow was off the bed so I figured the dogs just knocked it off. Oh no that is not what happened, a wonderful young dog decided that if I am going to leave her in a room loose she is going to make me regret that decision…

I was a tad upset with her so I had bagged everything up and put it on the porch, it wasn’t until that evening I thought “well there’s my Monday Mischief post”

So Flea you were right when you said ““Oh, she’s not sorry. She’d do it again in a heartbeat.
